John F. Doherty, Ed.D. is a recently retired Superintendent from the Reading Public Schools.  During his 34 years in the Reading Public Schools, he was a middle school science teacher, middle school principal, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, and superintendent.  Prior to working in Reading, John was a High School Biology Teacher at the Austin Preparatory School in Reading.

Currently, John is a School Expert Witness for the School Liability Expert Group in Lambertville, New Jersey.
